RAJASTHAN 
Rajasthan is located in the northwestern part of the subcontinent. It is bounded on the west and northwest by Pakistan , on the north and northeast by the states of Punjab , Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, on the east and southeast by the states of Uttar Prad esh and Madhya Pradesh, and on the southwest by the state of Gujarat . The Tropic of Cancer passes through its southern tip in the Banswara district. The state has an area of 132,140 square miles (342,239 square kilometres). The capital city is Jaipur.
LOCATION & CLIMATE:
In the west, Rajasthan is relatively dry and infertile; this area includes some of the Thar Desert , also known as the Great Indian Desert . In the southwestern part of the state, the land is wetter, hilly, and more fertile. The climate varies throughout Rajasthan. On average winter temperatures range from 8° to 28° C (46° to 82° F) and summer temperatures range from 25° to 46° C (77° to 115° F). Average rainfall also varies; the western deserts accumulate about 100 mm (about 4 in) annually, while the southeastern part of the state receives 650 mm (26 in) annually, most of which falls from July through September during the monsoon season. Rajasthan has a single-chamber legislative assembly with 200 seats. The state sends 35 members to the Indian national parliament: 10 to the Rajya Sabha (Upper House) and 25 to the Lok Sabh.

AJMER
Ajmer is known throughout the Muslim world for the Dargah (the burial place) of Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishti, a famous Sufi saint. Pushkar, one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimages is located just 11 km from Ajmer and the town is the main transportation centre for any visit to Pushkar , The city was founded by Raja Ajai Pal Chauhan in 7th Century. When Prithiviraj Chauhan lost it to Mohammed Ghauri. Since then Ajmer became home to many dynasties. The city is an amalgam of various cultures and a blend of Hinduism and Islam. Ajmer today is a popular pilgrimage centre. Ajmer is also the base for visiting Pushkar.
Sight Seeing: Savitri Temple and Man Mahal are the places to visit.
BHARATPUR
The beautiful Indian tourist destination of Bharatpur is located in the northwestern state of Rajasthan. It is best known for it's bird sanctuary, the Keoladeo Ghana National Park . Bharatpur is equidistant from Delhi and Jaipur that is it is 176 kms away
Sight Seeing : Lohargarh Fort , Government Museum , Jawahar Burj and Fateh Burj, - This royal monument is a brilliant blend of Mughal and a Rajput architecture. There is also a museum in the central wing with a few exhibits dating to the 2nd century A.D.
BIKANER
Bikaner is located in the northern part of Rajasthan. Jodhpur is the nearest airport to Bikaner . The city is surrounded by high fortifications comprising a 7-km long wall, which encircles the old city and has 5 entrance- all constructed in the 18th century. Bikaner is renowned for being the place where one can get the best riding camels for Camel Safaris.

CHITTORGARH
The history of Chittor is one of the most stirring chapters in Indian history for it was there that the flower of Rajput chivalry sprang to life and the immense stretch of its sacred walls and ruined palaces relate the saga of innumerable sieges and heroism which has almost become a myth now.

JAIPUR
Jaipur is located in the Northern India at a distance of around 258 km from Delhi. Jaipur the vibrant capital of Rajasthan is popularly known as the ‘ Pink City ' because of the pink coloured buildings in its old city. This city was made to order by Jai Singh in 1727 when Mughal power the wane. The architect ‘Vidhyadhar Bhattacharya' used the principles of town planning the Shilpa Shastra, while designing the city.

JAISALMER
Jaisalmer is a border district of India located in the state of Rajasthan and touching Pakistan . Most of the district is part of Thar Desert and offers excellent Camel Safari options. Thar Desert like an Oasis full of life and colour. Jaisalmer was founded in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal.

JODHPUR
Located on the edge of the Thar Desert , Jodhpur has Jaisalmer on its west, Barmar, Jalor and Pali on its south, Bikaner on its north, and Nagaur on the eastern side. Famous for its magnificent forts and palaces, Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan and a major tourist attraction in the country. Jodhpur the capital of formerly state of Marwar - Jodhpur city was founded by Suryavanshi Rao Jodha in 1459 AD. Number of palaces, temples and other architectural monuments add to its glory. The old city of Jodhpur is surrounded by 10 kms. long wall.

MOUNT ABU
Situated at an altitude of 1,220 metres above sea level, Mount Abu is the only hill station that you can hope to see in Rajasthan. Mount Abu is located around 264 km away from Jodhpur . Mount Abu is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites of the Jains
